BRANDING & MOOD BOARD |  
Inspired by various collage artworks and flat illustration styles, I created a brand with seven colors, one for every species. This is used alongside three overall brand colors (and white), inspired by elements of nature and exploring Judaism without the stereotypical blue.


RESEARCH AND IDEATION |  
Once I figured out the branding and design elements, I needed to see it in action. Through various project experimentations, I was able to narrow down my concept and figure out my final thesis output. Using a small survey, I was able to learn more about my focus group and what they needed. I also created a short promotional video for my thesis. 

At the time of creation, I was originally thinking of making a cookbook, but ended up pivoting towards a magazine, as I realized it was more important to educate jews and non-jews about the topic. I think I would still love to make a cookbook in the future, but it didn’t end up being my thesis.


BEHIND THE SCENES |  
This was a year long process, so it included lots of moments of doubt, lots of change, but also lots of fun! 


WEAVINGS |  
Alongside a publication work, this thesis also includes three weaving projects: kitchen towels, challah cover, and table runner. One of the most important aspects of Judaism is a Jewish home, and these pieces allow for Judaism and the seven species to be in the home in a more casual way, reminding you of their importance and place in Judaism.
