GOLIATH (גוליית)
BY KAVERET (כוורת)

STORYBOARDING |
For this storyboard, I was most inspired by the retro 70’s line style common in a lot of graphic imagery as well as the oranges, browns, and teals of the period. This was imporant to me because I wanted to emphasise the band.

FURTHER IDEATION |
The most imporant thing for me to figure out with this keyframe was the color scheme and the languages. In this version, I have the Hebrew and transliteration as the legible type with the English as the design elements. I decided in the final to switch the transliteration and English so that those watching without knowledge of Hebrew would still be able to figure out the lyrics of the song. For the colors, I wanted to make sure I was sticking to the 70’s vibe without losing legibility and contrast.

FINAL KEYFRAMES |
I think the overall design elements and color scheme work very well together and exemplifies the band, but I was also interested in dabbling with the idea of having some sort of David and Goliath illustration throughout the creation of the piece. I decided that the simple lines and moving text work much better and I still agree with that decision, I just wish that I could’ve incorperated the lyrics or story more within the video, not just the single time I did it with the slingshot frame.
