These very simple first iterations were just that: simple and boring. They also did not use the negative space well, so I made sure to change that, along with adding much more interest.
REVISED ITERATION |
I decided to add a textural image in the magazine to emphasize the textural elements coming from the type. For the poster, I tried to use Gestalt principles with the negative space for the large title text, alongside spreading out my smaller body copy to give them more space to breathe and use the negative space in a better way.
FINAL ITERATION |
I mostly just changed the colors to match each other more cohesively as a combined project and decided that inverting some white text on top of the poster would further the Gestalt idea I created in the last iteration.
