אדמה (ADAMAH) MAGAZINE

FIRST ITERATION |
I first started with a moodboard, inspired by the agricultural Jewish holidays and simple nature designs, this design would reflect both simplicity and faith. Through this, I experimented with a few different typefaces, from super modern and blocky to traditional, eventually landing on a script font I thought was a good middle-ground. The first iteration and page of the magazine is shown on the right, and the final typeface I chose for the magazine’s title is Gveret Levin from the AlefAlefAlef type foundry.

REVISED ITERATION |
This version of the design was established throughout a few weeks as I added articles and cover pages to the magazine spreads. While it is almost finalized, I still needed to add photo captions and each spread was too similar to the other. I needed to add more contrast between certain spreads, especially article title pages.

FINAL ITERATION |
These final spreads combine all of the various edits throughout the process of creating this piece. I am proud of this project, and I enjoyed the challenge of designing one document in two languages, especially with the many layout differences between English and Hebrew.
